Angel Picture

Due to popular demand, we are adding the "Angel Picture" to the website. This is the picture of Elmas' (the founder of DLC) mother. We are going to post the picture and the story behind it and let you come to whatever conclusions you wish based on your own beliefs. It was taken with a camera phone (low pixel quality) and was not retouched in any way.

The Angel Picture

The story behind the picture as told by Elmas... I was visiting family in Alabama for Christmas. Early in the day on December 30th, 2005, I took my mother's picture (Mae Cross) in the car with a picture phone so her image would show when she called. She realized her picture was being taken and covered her face so I did not get the picture.

Later we were resting from our errands when I decided to take another picture with her unaware. She was lying on the couch reading from the light coming through the open curtain behind her. I snapped the shot and waited for the image to cycle back up on the phone. The image that appeared caught me totally off guard.

I looked back across the room where my mother was laying to compare what I could see to the image that appeared in the picture. What I could see looking across the room was basically a triangle of light above her. The image that appeared on the phone was distinctly that of an Angel. Where the tops of the wings and the halo/head appeared was dark to the naked eye because a burgundy valance was hung straight across. Where the wings spread out on each side extended out beyond where the dark curtains hung. I was so amazed that I snapped two more pictures with exactly the same results.

All of my life I have known that my mother was a special lady and a blessing to every one she meets. Now I know without a doubt that God has given her an Angel to look over her in her time of need. Her husband, Elmer Cross passed on just before Thanksgiving 2005, a mere five weeks before the picture was taken. The image just let me know that it was ok for me to leave and return to my business of helping others because she would not be alone. It is my belief that we all have Angels watching over us. Most of us just don't have a picture of ours... suitable for framing.
